Conference Visa |
Visas for international conferences can be issued only after clearance for the said conference is received from the Government of India.
Conference visas are issued for attending conferences or seminars in India. For participation in certain conferences, approval of the concerned authorities may be required. Therefore additional time may be needed to process application.
Delegates are required to produce an invitation to a conference being organized in India by a Ministry or Department of the Government of India, State Governments, Public Sector Undertakings, Central Educational Institutions , Public Funded University or an organized owned and controlled by the Government of India or State Government, UN or its specialized agencies and reputed NGOs.
In the case that the conference is being organized in India by private companies a Business visa may be issued and conference visa should not be issued in these cases.

Original signed Letter from the UK institution. |

Copy of event clearance from Ministry of Home affairs, Government of India. |

Administrative approval of the Nodal Ministry, Government of India. |

Political clearance from the concerned state Government. |
|
Only applicants signature may be written by hand on the Online Application Form |

Non UK Passport Holders |
| |
- Stamp of Indefinite Stay OR
- Utility Bills, Includes, Landline Telephone, Gas, Electricity, Water, Council Tax Bills and Tenancy Agreement.
- Mix and Match Utility Bills will not be accepted.
- Bank Statements will not be accepted.

For NON UK passport holder who does not have proof of residency in the UK for more than 2 years, the Visa processing time is 15 to 20 working days. They are required to fill in a NON UK resident form and an extra £10 fee is chargeable. (Example of text is on our ‘Other Application form’ on home page). |
