| The application form has to be filled in online. Before doing so, you will need the following: |

| Please go to www.indiavisa.co.uk click on Online Visa Application Form. Please select Indian Mission as UK LONDON. |

| Please enter your FULL name as per passport including middle names if any. Your passport must be at least 2 months old. |
| |
| As well as giving your passport details, you will need to list all countries you have visited in the last 10 years, and the details of any previous Indian visa you have been issued with. |
| |
| The name and address of two referees, one in the UK and one in India. For the Indian one, you can enter the details of the hotel you are staying in. Please note that you must include postcodes wherever you enter the UK address. |

| If your job is one of the following you will require a letter of undertaking if you are self employed or a company director or a letter from your employer on their letter headed paper if you are an employee: |

| It is best to make a note of the Temporary Application ID in case you need to look up more information and return to complete it later. |
| Please select the visa options: Tourist, 6 month and Multiple. |
| However, if you are visiting India twice on the same trip (ie India-Nepal-India), please select Double. When applying for the Double-entry, you will also need to supply a detailed itinerary of your flight from UK to India than from India to the third country back to India and then out of India ( ie UK-India-Nepal-India-UK). |
| If you are going on a cruise and stopping only at 1 port select single entry if stopping on 2 ports select double ( send full itinerary with the application ). |
| Please note that with the multiple-entry visa you cannot return to India within two months for a second visit. This stipulation of two months gap does not apply on any other type of visa, i.e. Business (B) or Entry (X) types of visas. It also does not apply to PIO and OCI card holders. |
| After completing the form, you will come to a screen that asks whether you want to make an appointment and payment. Please select NO as we do this for you. If you do select yes, and make payment, please be aware that the visa centre cannot always link your payment to our application, and you might end up paying twice. It is also a good idea to make a note of the Web File Number displayed on this screen. |
Finally, print the form which will be in 2 pages and sign it in both places indicated. Post all documents by Royal Mail Special Delivery to the address at the bottom and make Check or Postal Order payable to India Visa. |
