Indian Business Visa

Indian Business visa is currently required by all nationalities wishing to travel to India on a business trip. These visas are normally given to those who are undertaking business in India. Such as attending meetings/establishing contacts on behalf of a company outside of India and can be granted for up to 12 months. However, multiple-entry business visas for up to two years validity may be granted to technicians/experts going to India in pursuance of bilateral agreements or joint venture projects having government approval.

Business Visa Supporting Documentation Requirements:

Please Note- Apply for three months or more duration of visa, the validity of the visa begins from the date it is issued and not from the date of your departure. As visas are valid from the date of issue and not the date of travel, it is applicant's responsibility to ensure that the visa they have been granted is valid for the duration of their stay in India.

	Please choose Indian Mission as UK LONDON.
	(New forms requires 2 signatures, once on the first page on top right hand corner and once on the 2nd page)
	Please enter Full Names on Visa Application form as per your Passport including Middle Names if any.

Original Passport with at least 2 blank pages and 190 day validity remaining Two, 50mm by 50mm size photographs ( Larger than passport size )

Letter of invitation from India based company to be visited, addressed to the High Commission of India

Original Letter from UK employer, addressed to the High Commission of India, requesting the visa and outlining the nature of the business related trip and the duration for which the visa will be required. Applicant's Passport number, date of issue and date of expiry MUST be entered in both letters (click here for a Sample Buisness Support Letter) and (click here for a Sample_Buisness Invitation_Letter).

	"Please note that if the company requesting a business visa is not located in the UK, the business letter should explain the reason why the applicant is applying from the UK".
	Only applicants signature may be written by hand on the Online Application Form

Non UK Passport Holders

Stamp of Indefinite Stay OR
Utility Bills, Includes, Landline Telephone, Gas, Electricity, Water, Council Tax Bills and Tenancy Agreement.
Mix and Match Utility Bills will not be accepted.
Bank Statements will not be accepted.

	For NON UK passport holder who does not have proof of residency in the UK for more than 2 years, the Visa processing time is 15 to 20 working days. They are required to fill in a NON UK resident form and an extra £10 fee is chargeable. (Example of text is on our ‘Other Application form’ on home page).
	Applicant's Passport number, date of issue and date of expiry MUST be mentioned in both letters.
	Send all documents to 40, Cuckmere Crescent, Gossops Green, CRAWLEY, West Sussex RH11 8DL by Royal Mail Special Delivery and also include a prepaid, self addressed Royal Mail Special Delivery enevelope for safe return of your Passport
	Please do not write anything on Application form with pen
	Please make Cheques or Postal orders payable to "India Visa".

	If you need express service please call us on 0845 500 2426 before sending Passport. (This service is only available to British Passport holders). For non UK passports, Visa processing time is 15 to 20 working days (unless you have lived in UK for more than 24 months) and extra £10 in fee.

	Return of your passport:
	Your passport and any documents sent to us will be returned to you via the prepaid registered Special Delivery envelope that you send us.
