The e-visa is an electronic travel authorization and allows cruise ship passengers to enter India from one of the listed sea ports. Passengers generally would be traveling for tourism purposes and would need to apply for an e-tourist visa.
This visa comes with 3 options:
• Visa is valid for 30 days.
• Can apply for the visa up to 30 days, but no later than 4 days of your intended arrival date.
• 30 days visa period starts from date of arrival.
• Visa is valid for 30 days with double entry.
• Visa is valid for 365 days.
• Can apply up to 120 days but no later than 4 days of your intended arrival date.

• Passport: Make sure your passport is valid for a minimum of 6 months and has two blank pages

• Itinerary: Details of the cruise itinerary, including the ports of call in India.

Cruise ship passengers can disembark at designated seaports in India, including Mumbai, Cochin, Goa, Chennai, and Mangalore. Upon arrival, you will need to present the following documents to the immigration authorities:
• A valid passport with the e-Visa.
• The disembarkation card provided by the cruise ship.
